Arrival & Orientation

Moving to a new country is a big change. But with the right people and the right help, you will always feel at home. To get you started, here’s our guide for what to do when you arrive.

Get to your accommodation

You have made it to Sydney! Now it’s time to meet your host family or move into your rental accommodation.

If you need help travelling from the airport, we can arrange a pickup service for a fee. Just let us know your flight details at least 14 days before you arrive. You will also need to pay the airport transfer fee before you arrive. Payment details will be sent after your request.

Otherwise, get a taxi, Uber, train (remember to buy an Opal card) or Skybus. You will find these outside the airport terminals. If you ever get lost, just ask one of the friendly people around.

Check your money

You should open a bank account before you arrive in Australia. After you land, head to your closest ATM or bank branch to check that your money is accessible and secure.

Meet us – and our community

Our orientation program is the perfect way to transition into Ambridge and Australian life. You will learn all about our culture and society, as well as everything we offer and stand for.

On your first day, please go to Level 5, 55 Market Street Sydney NSW 2000 where our friendly staff at Reception will greet you. During your orientation our helpful Student Services Officers will take you on a tour so you can see our spacious classrooms, modern facilities – and unbeatable location!

Orientation is compulsory for all new students, and will be run before your classes start.
